Mission Thrift Store: Jan. 18 and Feb. 13. (Completed) FBCO older adult volunteers sorted, priced, and merchandised donated items for MTS, which sells the items to help fund other local nonprofits spreading the Good News of Christ in our community. For more information about MTS, click here.
Butler, IL Day Trip to Love Packages: Feb. 10. (Completed) The one-day trip helped Love Packages recycle new and used Bible study resources for ministries outside the U.S. that lack access to Christian teaching literature. It consisted of light warehouse work of unboxing, sorting, packaging, and boxing literature. Learn more about Love Packages here.
Scotland Mission Trip: (Completed) Through church partnerships in Girvan and Stranraer, Scotland FBCO teams helped the churches impact their communities for Christ through robotics and music instruction to middle school students, as well as other local projects.
GROW Outreach runs each Tuesday through Oct. 29. FBCO touches our community and provides needs through door-to-door contacts, letter writing, and prayer for visitors to our church and new and current residents. Need: open.
Kansas City, MO Mission Trip: Mar. 21-15. (Completed) This weekend trip continued our work with Overflow Church, in Grandview, MO. Through training and practical application members learned how to talk with others about Christ. FBCO team members also assisted Overflow in landscaping help for an elementary school that provided the initial space for the church to meet.
Mexico Mission Trip: Mar. 27-Apr. 3. (Full) FBCO returns to southern Mexico to work with IMB contacts in establishing a new church. Learn more about the work in Mexico here.
Annie Armstrong Easter Offering: Through Easter, 100% of funds given to the offering support the work of Southern Baptist’s missions work in the US and Canada through the North American Mission Board (NAMB). For more information about Annie Armstrong and the Easter Offering, click here.
Focus On Missions Seniors Missions Opportunity: Apr. 23. (Registering) Our older adults will help clean, sort, and process eyeglasses for Focus On Missions, an evangelical organization that provides free eyeglasses to those in need throughout the United States. At FBCO. Need: Open.
Engage O’Fallon: May 13-19. FBCO reaches out to its community through service projects. Need: All ages.
Mexico Mission Trip: May 21-28. (Full) FBCO returns to southern Mexico to work with IMB contacts in establishing a new church.
Israel Mission Trip: Jun. 3-13. (Full) FBCO returns to aid the Baptist Village in facility projects as it continues to minister in Jerusalem to all who seek help.
Butler, IL Day Trip to Love Packages: Jul. 22. This trip will introduce fifth and sixth graders to the work of Love Packages (see Feb. 10 description). The trip consists of light warehouse work of unboxing, sorting, packaging, and boxing literature. Need: 10-20.
Mexico Mission Trip: Jul. 12-20 (Registering) FBCO returns to southern Mexico to work with IMB contacts in establishing a new church. Need: 5.
Little Rock, AR High School Mission Trip: Jul. 15-20 High school students, grades 9-12, will partner with World Changers in light construction projects in the community. Need: open.
Engage O’Fallon: Jun. 17-23. FBCO reaches out to its community through service projects. Need: All ages.
Kansas City, MO Mission Trip: Jun. 17-13. (Registering) This weekend trip is suitable for families as our team works with Overflow church to provide a VBS in Grandview, MO. Need: 10.

Global Missions Celebration: Date to come. This annual highlight on the church calendar multiple opportunities for members to meet and learn about our local, national, and international ministry partners. Taste & See is a popular event that offers an introduction to the unique local foods of our partners’ communities, and provides one-to-one opportunities to meet missionaries. Missions displays in our church lobby explain the work of FBCO partners. LIFE groups and FBC Academy classes host missionaries to hear their stories. Lottie Moon International Missions Focus and Christmas Offering: In November and December 100% of funds given to the Christmas offering support Southern Baptist International Mission Board (IMB) missionaries outside the US and Canada. FBCO Giving Tree: Nov./Dec. Partnering with HOPE Food Pantry and its Giving Tree program, FBCO groups and individuals provide family gifts and household items to the city’s families who need extra help during this season. (All ages.) Need: All ages. Information to come.

Butler, IL Day Trip to Love Packages: Jan. 21, 2023. One of our LIFE groups filled this trip to help Love Packages recycle new and used Bible study resources to ministries outside the U.S.
Mexico Mission Trip: Feb. 11-18. FBCO returned to southern Mexico to work with IMB contacts in establishing a new church.
Netherlands Missions Trip: Mar. 25-Apr. 2. Our FBCO team assisted a new church plant in Rotterdam. Read about the trip here.
Cincinnati, OH: Inspiring Hope Church. Mar. 27-Apr. 2. This week-long trip to suburban Hamilton, OH focused on door-to-door neighborhood canvassing to introduce the church and its new location to the community in preparation for IHC’s anniversary and Easter programming. Read about our partnership with IHC here. This partnership has since been completed.
Mexico Mission Trip: Apr. 4-11. FBCO returned to southern Mexico to work with IMB contacts in establishing a new church. Learn more about the work in Mexico here. This is an ongoing work.

Kansas City, MO Mission Trip: May 4-7. This weekend trip opened our work with new ministry partner and church plant, Overflow Church, in southern Kansas City, MO. Activities included representing Overflow at community events, prayer walking neighborhoods, and performing door-to-door canvassing. Read about the trip here.
Israel Mission Trip: Baptist Village: May 17-27. Focused on facility improvement at Baptist Village. We worked alongside IMB missionaries who serve Jewish and Arab neighbors.
Butler, IL Day Trip to Love Packages: July 24. This trip for middle schoolers allowed our students to hear stories of how the ministry of Love Packages has a worldwide impact for Christ.
Cincinnati, OH Inspiring Hope Church: Jun. 19-24. In our second trip of the year to IHC we helped host a Vacation Bible School in the community.

One popular event, Taste & See, offered an introduction to the unique local foods of our partners’ communities, and provided members one-to-one discussion opportunities with missionaries. LIFE groups and FBC Academy classes hosted missionaries to hear their stories. Mexico Mission Trip: Nov. 2-9. FBCO returned to southern Mexico to work with IMB missionaries in establishing a new church.

2022
Love Packages Day Mission Trip: Feb. 7, May 23, and July 18, 2022. This ministry project involved sorting, processing, and packing recycled Bible literature and other resources for overseas ministries. Read about a previous Love Packages trip here. See the May trip photos here. In July 18 our sixth and seventh graders students sorted, packed and banded used and new Bibles, study resources, and other materials. Read the story here.
Scotland Mission Trip: Mar. 18-26, 2022. FBCO volunteers participated in public school classes with art and music projects, hosted other youth programs, and supported the local ministry of our church partner, Milestone Christian Fellowship, in Girvan. Read the trip report, here.
Cincinnati Mission Trip: Apr. 4-10, 2022. The FBCO team supported the community outreach of Inspiring Hope Church, a new work that launched on Easter 2021 in suburban Hamilton, OH. Activities included completing community projects from earlier outreach activities, meeting residents in door-to-door neighborhood visits, updating a mission house, and working with an IHC local ministry partner. Mexico Mission Trips: Apr. 14-21, May 24-31, and July 8-16, 2022. FBCO returned to southern Mexico to work with IMB missionaries Clay and Tammy Richardson. The trip focused on re-establishing a presence in the village of Chiapas following 2021’s absence due to COVID restrictions. Our second trip of the year to Chiapas, Mexico included visiting homes and prepping for VBS in July, which our college students ran. Read the story here.
Israel Mission Trip: June 1-11, 2022. Two teams aided two ministry organizations–the Jerusalem Prayer Center and Baptist Village–by doing light construction and painting at their facilities. Read the story soon.
Denver Mission Trip: Jun. 11-18, 2022. This trip for high school students included hosting a five-day soccer camp for the community and touching neighborhoods through door-to-door canvassing with our Parker, CO partner—Cross Family Church. Read the story here.
O’Fallon Heritage and Freedom Festival: Jul. 2-4, 2022. During the community’s annual Fourth of July festival FBCO operated an on-site facility where young mothers comfortably cared for their babies’ needs.
Missions Week: Aug. 1-5, 2022. FBCO performed multiple projects simultaneously at the Christian Activity Center in East St. Louis, IL; Hannibal LaGrange University in Hannibal, MO; and, Love Packages in Butler, IL. Teams to the Christian Activity Center improved the facilities. At Hannibal LaGrange University volunteers did a deep clean of student dorms. Teams to Love Packages prepped Bible and study materials for distribution to overseas ministries.
Global Missions Celebration: Sep. 18-25, 2022. GMC provided opportunities for members to meet and learn about our local, national, and international ministry partners in multiple meetings and venues: The Taste & See evening provided an enjoyable (and tasty) introduction to the unique local foods of our partners’ communities, and one-to-one discussions with missionaries. LIFE groups and Academy classes hosted missionaries to hear their stories. Ministry partners set up displays in our church lobby to inform our members about volunteer opportunities and ministry results FBCO also announced its missions opportunities for 2023.
Mexico Mission Trip: Oct. 28-Nov. 5, 2022. The fourth and last Mexico trip of the year includesd home visits and Bible studies.
O’Fallon Ft. Zumwalt Holiday Stroll Through the Park: Dec. 5 and 6. Each December our volunteers serve the community during the annual seasonal light festival at nearby Ft. Zumwalt Park. During the event’s two walk-through nights in 2022, FBCO volunteers helped visitors with parking, directed them to shuttle buses, and offered them complementary hot chocolate before and after their visits.
HOPE Pantry Giving Tree Again this past December FBCO partnered with HOPE Food Pantry in O’Fallon to provide the needs of local families. Individuals, groups, and LIFE groups provided basic household supply needs and gift requests to 62 families.
